| “Yum”
is the Same in Every Language. Want to experience some of the
most delightful, dazzling foods the world has to offer? Look
no further than Germany, where you’ll find something for
every palate.
First, if you’re someone who knows the value of a great
adult beverage, Germany is going to be a paradise for you. |
|
Here, beer and wine is a specialty, and you’ll never taste
anything like these brews and vinos in the States. Simply stated,
if you’re going to get inebriated, do so with one of these
fabulous potent potables!
Germans are also know for their sausages, aka “wiener
schnitzel” and “bratwurst”, packed with many
different kinds of meat and spices. And you won’t go hungry;
these links aren’t for the timid. Here, you’ll be
dining on huge portions (of everything, so wear something stretchy…)
You can even order them on the streets from vendors (similar
to the hot dog ones you’ll find in America.)
The other food item you’ll see plenty of are potatoes
served about a million different ways (give or take.) Fried
with onions and bacon or mashed into a pancake, the spud wins
points with both Germans and tourists alike!
Finally, there’s potato salad, much more flavorful and
definitely tastier than you’ve ever had from your local
deli. And cheese – ah, the Germans do love their cheeses!
Allow yourself to indulge in some of the finest dairy products
this side of heaven during your visit. Though it might be a
diet-buster, it’s worth the splurge.
The end of your meal is likely to be just as spectacular as
the beginning, with chocolates and rich, heavy desserts. Just
beware – Germans expect you to clean your plate and will
scold you if you do otherwise. So if you aren’t going
to finish what you start, be prepared for this eventuality. |
