Celebrate During Your Trip to Germany!
One of the most charming aspects of a journey to Germany is
that you’re unlikely to wonder what to do next. In fact,
with the many festivals and events that happen every month in
this country of celebrations, it’s quite possible that
you’ll have far too many different possibilities than
not enough!
The autumn and early winter are fabulous times to travel to
Germany, as Oktoberfests and Christmas Markets abound in almost
every region. At these events, you can enjoy the best of the
country in terms of food, beverages (especially wonderful beer
and wine), music, and handcrafted souvenirs.

In fact, if
you plan on attending any of the wonderful fall and holiday
festivals, it’s best to keep your spending in check; otherwise,
you could wind up with a hefty credit card bill upon your return
to the States.
Spring and summer are also terrific times to sightsee throughout
Germany, as summer festivals abound in Hamburg, Hanover, Berlin,
and Munich. |

|
Generally, they are “fair” atmospheres with a focus
on music, yummy edibles, and potent potables. If you’re
into soccer (or football, as Germans and most of the citizens
of the world call it), you can schedule your visit to Germany
around the FIFA World Cup. But be prepared – the Germans
take their soccer very seriously, and games can turn into brawls.
Still, if you’re a sports enthusiast, it’s worth
the experience.
Germany isn’t just a land to shop and dine; it’s
also a place to enjoy cultural events. Hence, there are numerous
film, music, and comedy festivals happening throughout the year
in this country. Even if you don’t speak the language
well (or at all), you’ll still be impressed with the wide
array of performing arts happenings, especially in larger cities
such as Bonn, Berlin, and Munich. For example, if you’re
in Bavaria, why not take in a show at the Neuewachtein Theatre,
not far from the famous Neuewachstein castle.
No matter what your style, Germany is sure to have a festival
to fit your mood, budget, and timeframe.
